Do you have what it takes to become an Ötztal Iron Man? Will you be able to handle this power package or will it overwhelm you?
Ötztal Iron Man
The absolute power package! More action is not possible.
Who can do it? Downhill skiing, Auerklamm canyoning and Ötztaler Ache rafting in one day...
The meeting is at the base at 8:00 a.m. Each participant receives their neoprene equipment and their mountain bike. Then take a taxi to Kühtai at 2,017m. A chairlift brings bikers & bikes to the Drei Seen Hütte at 2,311 m. And off: downhill past the Finstertal Reservoir, down to Kühtai, via Kaiser Franz Josef Weg to Ötzerau. Short refreshment with a snack.
But then get into the wetsuit and into the Auerklamm: slides, jumps and abseiling points up to 25m! On to the highlight of the tour, an approx. 10-12 m high jump.
It is not far from the exit to the base. But here it just means: get out of the belts, into the taxi and off to the Ötztaler Ache rafting tour! On this exciting rafting route, every paddle stroke at wildwater IV has to be right!
We did it!!! Once back at base, the players are rewarded with hot showers and saunas. The Ambachhof awaits athletes for Ötztal Iron Man pizza and a measure of beer! So that no one at home doubts that they really did all of this, there is still a certificate and the water-c-raft T-shirt!
... were there still individualists there in the morning? By the end of this day at the latest, every participant has experienced first-hand what team spirit really means...
Best time:
June to end of September
Ötztal Iron Man
The hardest challenge in the Alps
Do you have what it takes to be an Iron Man?
How many adventures fit into a day? Or: How tough are you really? With mountain bike from 2,311 m downhill via Kühtai to Ötzerau. Change from bike to wetsuit: Off to the Auerklamm for canyoning! Straight out of the Gurten and off to the Ötztaler Ache rafting tour! At the end, there is a final drink in honor of the Iron Man and the Water-C-Raft T-shirt and a “survival certificate”.
