Austria is a popular holiday destination, not only in winter, but also in summer. And especially in summer, for families. What actually makes a family vacation stand out? It goes without saying that you spend time together. What they have in common means that parents and their children experience great things. There were often tears in front of our base when a smaller sibling had to stay behind and only part of the family could take part in our tours. But we want the whole family to have a great adventure. That's why we took a closer look around our area. And we have discovered tours on which we can take children from the age of 7 and thus offer all family members a rafting or canyoning experience!

Equipped with climbing harness, helmet, wetsuit and hiking boots, our buses take you up to Hoch Imst. Once there, it's just a short walk to the entrance to the Rosengarten Gorge. The state-certified canyoning guide now explains in detail what to look out for when canyoning. But that's when the adventure begins! A small trail leads us down to the stream, but first there is enthusiasm among young and old: we climb through a small cave, where we pick up our first shower at a small waterfall. Get out of the cave and then continue into an untouched natural landscape. Younger participants have glowing eyes, especially at the many natural water slides in crystal-clear/turquoise mountain water, which the water has carved into the stone over thousands of years. There are a few slides and climbing sections until we reach our barbecue area right on the stream bed.

The canyoning guides are now preparing delicious food and drinks for us around the campfire. After a refreshment session, continue on foot to a small natural hot tub and a small, shallow swimming track. After a short dam construction, a small trail leads us back to the cars. We did it! Back at base, you can take a hot shower or go to the sauna! At the end, the canyoning guide presents the participants with a certificate of commemoration of the successful and impressive Rosengarten Gorge canyoning tour.
