Top rafting Imster Gorge & Ötztaler Ache
The best rafting combination in Tyrol
The most popular rafting route in Europe, the Imster Gorge, is the first to be traveled. “Pull right - everyone forward!” These are just two of the commands to be learned that bring the team together and optimally prepare them for the second and difficult tour, the Ötztaler Ache. On the World Cup track - Ötztaler Ache, two boaters are deployed per boat, because in the forest gorge and in the Boa Constructa, every paddle stroke has to be perfect! Let's go, we're all in the same boat! Team spirit is required when we take on the most beautiful tour in Tyrol. These two tours are possible in one day, but can also be split over two days.
Imster Gorge
The adventure starts at our base in Ambach (2 km down the valley in Ötztal). There, we will first be equipped with optimal whitewater clothing. Then take a taxi to our boarding point in Imst. After a safety talk and training from our state-certified boat drivers, our trip through the beautiful Imster Gorge begins. Together, we drive the boat down the Inn with our paddle strokes. This is how we pass the flood of pipes to the mouth of the Ötztaler Ache. From here, the rapids pile up and an exciting wave ride begins.
In Haiming, where the taxi awaits us at our exit point with a final drink, we disembark after a journey of approx. 2 hours and a river distance of 14.5 km. The Imster Gorge is not only a great experience in Wildwasser III, but also the ideal preparation for
Ötztaler Ache
After a short break, this 2nd tour can be taken the same day around 1:30pm, or the next day at 8:45am. (as required). Years of rafting experience and our special boat equipment make this top-class tour possible! The Ötztaler Ache combines all whitewater technical difficulties that make a rafter's heart beat faster! For safety reasons, two boat guides are used on this rafting trip (Whitewater IV).
After dressing at our meeting point, the taxi will take us to the boarding point in Oetz at the Brandach Bridge. That's when it really gets down to business right from the start, every paddle stroke must be right! Special highlights include, on the one hand, the forest gorge near Sautens, and on the other hand, the Boa Constructa, an extremely difficult section of this tour to travel on. After the river Ache meets the Inn, beautiful rapids are approaching us before we are picked up by our taxi in Haiming after driving 14 km. After a hot shower and a possible sauna session, people meet at the Ambachhof to round off. There, every participant receives a certificate of commemoration of this great whitewater experience!
