400 breath-taking altitude with views of the Inn Valley!
Geierwand Haiming via ferrata
Nothing is more breathtaking than this view.
400 breath-taking altitude with views of the Inn Valley! The starting point of the tour is our rafting exit car park in Haiming. It is just about 15 minutes to the entrance to the wall. This via ferrata offers us 2 entry options, an easier and a heavier version.
This via ferrata should only be chosen by participants who are absolutely free from vertigo and have a good dose of physical fitness. In the middle of the tour, there is even a suspended bench to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Inn Valley.
One of the beautiful highlights of the tour is the rope bridge between an exposed rock outcrop and the main wall. The hardest part of this tour is just before the end of the wall and has a difficulty level of C.
At this point, you can see about 350 m almost vertically down to the valley floor. We leave the Geierwand via a “chamois trail” and head to a beautiful viewpoint where we enjoy our well-deserved snack with drinks. The descent is to the right of the wall via a narrow and exposed trail back into the valley. This trail requires good sure-footedness.
